Why are hired thugs following me

I am playing at Master difficulty and on level 7 so I thought its better to run around and let the guards take these thugs but they are acting like nothing has happened. I don't have any other saved game and I can't take on these thugs on my own. What should I do? Use the Frenzy spell on the thugs and get them to attack the guards. Mayhem will ensue, the thugs will be dead, and you will be able to saunter casually away.

It might even be possible to get yourself arrested and thrown in jail. I've not tried that but there's a good chance it would work. As a last resort, you could cheat. I'd normally advise against it, but, if there's a situation where you're totally stuck, switching to God mode and running away could be an option. It's better to cheat for a few seconds than have your game ruined. What I did is somehow climb on the rocky area near Hall of the Dead and used Novice level fire spell.

It took me around 40 minutes to kill all 3 of them. I also tried firing arrows from its roof but thugs hide themselves beneath me. Sign up to join this community. The best answers are voted up and rise to the top. Stack Overflow for Teams — Collaborate and share knowledge with a private group.

The level roof is a good place to avoid their attacks and send arrows flying toward them. My other character was a spellcaster. He used Fury to one of them and ran away, while boys were beating each other. The only fellow who survived got his face full of lighting. Can people send hired thugs after you for no reason? I had to fight some outside Riften, found a note where Grelka was instructing them to shake me up and even kill me if necessary.

Don't think I did any Thieve's Guild quests at her house You don't have to be a thief, just to take something that did not belong to you or murder someone. Sometimes relatives can also send enemies after you. This happens if you kill a character that does not start as a hostile, but becomes aggressive after your actions. For example: Anise, after you break in to her basement.

They don't say anything, they don't do anything. They are just following me and standing there. Didn't accept any missions or anything to spawn them. They just appeared and now won't go away :S Anyone know why?
